FUN FACT! I wrote this song in 2014 about Malaysia Airlines flight 370. I used to be terrified of flying. I was really struck by the idea of never seeing someone again after they were lost in a plane crash over the ocean.
lyrics
you left me
flew into the sky
you made it to the indian
you never said goodbye
and you stayed there
with the others
underwater
undiscovered
i held you in my dreams
til they told me you were seen
in pieces at the bottom of the ocean
"i'm sorry for your loss,
i know you had a good thing going"

This record epitomizes the beauty, love, and sincerity that define Laura Stevenson as an artist. She keeps it honest, doesn't flinch at sadness and rage—but she also considers joy. She doesn't despair. Neither should we. Not while we can listen to music like this. djuss
